Can you believe it? We’re already starting to plan the Art Camp. It’s mid-January now and cold; Art Camp doesn’t happen until July 26-30. Is this excessive?

Our theme for this year is going to be “Wonder.” We’re going to lead the campers to wonder at God as He is revealed all around us in His creation. What fun! I love science and can’t wait to pull out our microscopes and telescopes to take a deeper look at who God is. We’ll also lead the campers to wonder at who they are – created by God in His image with creative abilities included.

We’ll once again limit enrollment to 150. In order to make this work, we’ll need:

• 7 core and 31 elective classes for Level 1
• 4 core and 16 elective classes for Level 2
• 21 small groups

Add to that the people needed for mini-BAC, setup, takedown, cleanup, cooking, helping, security, organization, administration…we’re talking about a lot of volunteers. Plans are under way to start making phone calls and use Facebook to start “the big ask.”

Cal will setup a Facebook page and Wordpress website. He’ll also lay out the theme for the week. Updated information can be found here. At our next meeting, we’ll begin work also on the logo for the year (Jason).
